Estimation Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates for engineering, construction, or manufacturing projects. The role involves analyzing project specifications, drawings, and requirements to assess material, labor, and equipment costs and support the tendering and bidding process.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project scope.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for accurate data and project requirements.
Prepare and submit tender documents, RFQs, and bid proposals within deadlines.
Maintain and update cost databases, unit rates, and supplier/subcontractor pricing.
Identify and assess risks, exclusions, and assumptions in estimates.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions when necessary.
Support project managers during negotiation and contract finalization.
Collaborate with planning and scheduling teams to align cost estimates with timelines.
Track market trends in labor and material costs to ensure competitive and realistic pricing.
