Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Take-offs:

Calculate the amount of materials needed for a project based on engineering drawings and specifications.

Cost Analysis:

Analyze material costs, labor rates, and other expenses to determine the project's total cost.

BOQ (Bill of Quantities) Preparation:

Develop detailed lists of materials and quantities needed for the project.

Estimation and Costing:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, considering various factors like labor, material, and equipment.

Proposal Preparation:

Create technical proposals for client submissions, including cost estimates and project specifications.

Supplier Quotations:

Obtain quotations from suppliers for materials and fabrication services.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate cost estimations.

Prepare detailed estimates

for machining jobs, including cost estimates for materials, labor, and other resources needed to complete the job.
Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Structural).

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in design and estimation of metal works.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, or other drafting software.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and structural steel design.

Other Skills:

Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Valid UAE Driving License
