We are looking for an

Estimation/Tendering Engineer - Transmission

to join our team. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates and technical/commercial proposals for transmission line and substation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings related to transmission projects (HV, EHV, substations, overhead lines, underground cables). Develop detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and technical/commercial proposals within given timelines. Work with procurement and suppliers to obtain quotations, pricing, and delivery schedules. Identify potential risks, alternatives, and value engineering opportunities to strengthen bids. Coordinate with design and engineering teams to define project scope and deliverables. Participate in client meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions as required. Support negotiations and post-bid discussions alongside the tendering team. Stay updated on market trends, authority requirements, and material pricing. Ensure all estimates are aligned with safety, quality, and contractual standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 3-6 years of proven experience in estimation and tendering for

transmission and substation projects

(UAE/GCC experience preferred). Solid understanding of transmission systems (132kV, 220kV, 400kV) and local authority regulations (DEWA, TRANSCO, SEWA, etc.). Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation tools. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
