Estimation Engineer with Marine Construction experience
to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for marine, port, coastal, and civil infrastructure projects across the UAE.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in
marine works, port infrastructure, marine logistics, and civil construction estimation
, with solid knowledge of UAE market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Review & Technical Analysis
Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and addenda
Analyze marine, port, civil, and logistics scope
Assess site constraints such as tides, water depths, access limitations, and marine traffic
Quantity Take-Off & Cost Estimation
Marine & Coastal Works
Beach nourishment, sand sourcing, transport, and profiling
Coastal protection works (revetments, breakwaters, groynes)
Marine excavation, dredging, seabed profiling, backfilling, rock placement
Temporary marine works (cofferdams, pontoons, floating plant mobilization)
Deployment of oceanographic instruments and marine survey equipment
Port & Docking Facilities
Ports, marinas, and docking terminals
Fixed jetties, quay walls, berthing structures
Floating pontoons, walkways, access bridges
Fender systems, bollards, ladders, mooring components
Piling works and associated MEP services
Marine Transportation & Logistics
Barge and tug mobilization, chartering, and operations
Marine transport of materials, equipment, and machinery
Fuel consumption, crew, permits, port fees, and marine routing
Civil Infrastructure Works
Earthworks, utilities, concrete structures, roadworks
Site preparation, demolition, and temporary works
Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination
Obtain and evaluate quotations from marine, logistics, and civil suppliers
Compare technical compliance and commercial terms
Maintain and update cost databases
Proposal & Tender Submission
Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals
Develop execution methodology, schedules, logistics plans
Identify risks, exclusions, and clarifications
Support tender negotiations and clarifications
Site Visits & Coordination
Conduct site inspections and assessments
Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, and operations teams
Prepare detailed project handover after award
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in
marine and/or civil construction estimation
UAE or GCC experience preferred
Strong knowledge of marine works, dredging, piling, quay walls, and coastal structures
Proficient in
AutoCAD, MS Excel
, and estimating software
Good understanding of UAE suppliers and subcontractors
Strong analytical and communication skills
Salary & Benefits
AED 6,000 - 8,000 per month
(depending on experience)
