Position Overview

The

Estimation Engineer

will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing cost estimates for MEP projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge in MEP estimation, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) projects based on drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Analyze project requirements and prepare material and labor cost breakdowns. Review tender documents, drawings, and BOQs for accuracy and completeness. Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with specifications. Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and procurement teams to clarify requirements. Conduct cost comparisons and value engineering for cost optimization. Assist in bid preparation, tender submissions, and negotiations. Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference. Ensure estimation work is completed within deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

Gender:

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred).

Experience:

3-4 years of hands-on experience in

MEP Estimation

within the construction or contracting sector. Proficiency in estimation and quantity take-off software tools. Strong analytical, mathematical, and technical interpretation skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting tight deadlines. Knowledge of UAE market standards and supplier base will be an advantage.
