Prepare detailed cost estimates for joinery, woodwork projects, including furniture, fittings, and other related products and fit-out items. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and designs to determine material and labor requirements for joinery work and fit-out works Liaise with the design and production teams to ensure accurate cost estimation based on project needs and production capabilities. Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. Prepare and submit tender documents and quotations for joinery projects, ensuring all relevant costs are accounted for. Monitor ongoing projects to track costs and update estimates as necessary. Maintain detailed records of all estimates, tenders, and quotations for future reference and auditing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or any related field At least 5 years of experience in the similar role within a joinery and woodwork sector Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and furniture manufacturing processes. Proficiency in estimation software and tools, with the ability to prepare detailed cost breakdowns. Immediate joiners are highly prioritized.
