Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Estimation Engineer

with a strong background in estimating Extra Low Voltage systems, particularly with exposure to

automation systems

such as BMS (Building Management Systems), access control, CCTV, lighting control, and other integrated technologies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret project drawings and specifications to deliver accurate and competitive cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for ELV systems, including security, communication, and automation systems. Analyze blueprints, specifications, BOQs, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and project teams to gather necessary information. Provide technical input and value engineering suggestions to enhance project design and reduce costs. Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for technical compliance and competitiveness. Support tender submissions and clarify estimation queries during pre- and post-tender phases. Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings when required. Maintain and update estimation database and pricing tools.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ELV estimation, with a focus on automation systems. Strong understanding of BMS, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, public address, structured cabling, and lighting control systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with estimation software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or specialized ELV estimating tools. Excellent knowledge of market prices, vendor selection, and product specifications. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
