Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for various projects, ensuring accuracy in quantities and pricing. Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify potential risks and opportunities during the estimation process. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather information necessary for developing comprehensive estimates. Generate precise cost breakdowns and reports for electrical installations. Stay updated on market trends and pricing fluctuations to provide competitive and realistic estimates. Review subcontractor bids and vendor quotes to ensure alignment with project requirements and budget constraints. Participate in pre-bid meetings to understand client expectations and clarify project scope. Conduct value engineering assessments to propose cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Maintain organized documentation of estimates, revisions, and correspondence for future reference and auditing. Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts based on estimation outcomes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential for technical competency. Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in electrical estimation within construction or engineering sectors is required, especially industrial projects. Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance in all estimates. Fluency in English is mandatory. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. Excellent analytical skills to assess complex project data and make informed estimation decisions. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present estimates to stakeholders. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to ensure precision and clarity in all estimation processes.
