with strong expertise in the steel fabrication industry. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting tender submissions for steel structure and fabrication projects across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Conduct quantity take-offs for steel structures, connections, and fabrication works.
Evaluate material, labor, and subcontractor requirements to prepare competitive bids.
Coordinate with procurement, design, and production teams for pricing and technical inputs.
Prepare and submit technical & commercial proposals in compliance with client requirements.
Track project costs, variations, and assist in value engineering.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors during pre-bid and post-bid clarifications.
Maintain a database of suppliers, subcontractors, and market rates for accurate pricing.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimation, preferably within the UAE steel fabrication industry.
Strong knowledge of steel structures, fabrication techniques, and erection works.
Familiarity with UAE construction standards, codes, and tendering processes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Preferred:
UAE experience with fabrication/erection companies.
Knowledge of material submittals, QA/QC documentation, and local procurement.
