Job Purpose:

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bidding. This role involves reviewing project specifications, drawings, and requirements to assess material, labor, and time costs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Cost Estimation:

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimations for Aluminum &

glazing and Steel works using client enquiry documents, architectural drawings, and

specifications.

Email Management:

Review and update enquiries received via email from clients,

contractors, and consultants, ensuring all relevant data is included in the estimation

process.

Market Rate Analysis:

Stay updated with the latest market rates for materials and

labour to ensure accurate and competitive pricing in all estimates.

Specification Compliance:

Ensure all estimates are prepared in strict accordance

with the given project specifications and client requirements.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the estimation team to assist in the

preparation of quotations and support project bidding activities.

Weekly Reporting:

Compile and submit weekly reports outlining the status and

progress of all estimation activities and completed projects.

Documentation & Record-Keeping:

Maintain organized records of all estimates,

quotations, supplier communications, and client interactions.

Client Coordination:

Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants to

provide clarifications and justifications related to submitted quotations.

Variation Preparation:

Prepare and submit variation estimates based on changes in

site conditions, additional client requirements, or design modifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimation and tendering (manufacturing industries). Strong knowledge of market prices, materials, and Producation/Manufacturing methods. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
