Estimation Engineer

Job Description

Position Overview:



The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects in the UAE. The role requires in-depth knowledge of UAE construction practices, suppliers, pricing trends, and authority regulations. You will be an integral part of our tendering team, supporting both pre- and post-contract phases of multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:



Analyze tender documents including drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure works. Conduct quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns using UAE-standard pricing and market knowledge. Source and evaluate quotations from UAE-based subcontractors and suppliers. Coordinate with procurement and project planning teams to align cost estimates with scheduling and resource plans. Prepare and submit competitive bid packages, tender clarifications, and cost proposals. Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates in the UAE construction industry. Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions with clients and consultants when required. Maintain a database of historical project costs and vendor price lists for future reference.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management. Minimum

5 years of estimation experience

in the

UAE construction sector

. Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, authority approvals, and pricing structures. Proficient in cost estimation software and tools (e.g.,

AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Candy, CostX, Bluebeam

, or similar). Excellent command of

MS Excel

and other Microsoft Office tools. Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus). Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail. Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills & Experience:



Experience in pricing

residential, commercial, infrastructure, or high-rise building projects

in the UAE. Familiarity with

UAE municipalities, DEWA, ADM, RTA, and other relevant authorities

. Knowledge of

FIDIC

or other international standard contracts. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. UAE driving license is an advantage.
