Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled

Estimation Engineer

with a strong background in

ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems

and

automation technologies

such as

BMS (Building Management Systems), CCTV, Access Control, Lighting Control, Fire Alarm, and Structured Cabling

. This role is critical in preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting competitive bids for complex, integrated low voltage and smart building solutions across commercial and industrial projects in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

ELV Cost Estimation:

Prepare detailed BOQs and pricing estimates for all ELV systems including security, communication, and automation solutions.

Technical Documentation Review:

Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to extract scope of work and develop cost-effective solutions.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Collaborate with engineering, design, procurement, and project teams to collect data, clarify scope, and validate pricing.

Vendor & Subcontractor Evaluation:

Assess quotations for technical compliance and competitive pricing; engage with suppliers for best-value solutions.

Value Engineering:

Recommend design optimizations that balance cost, performance, and compliance without compromising quality.

Tender Support:

Contribute to the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals; manage queries and clarifications during bidding stages.

Site Assessments:

Participate in site visits, pre-bid walkthroughs, and technical meetings to gather field-level data for estimation accuracy.

Database Management:

Maintain up-to-date cost libraries, vendor databases, and standard estimation templates for future bids.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in

Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics

, or related engineering fields.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in

ELV estimation

, especially in BMS, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Lighting Control, and Structured Cabling. Prior exposure to UAE-based projects is highly preferred.

Technical Competencies:

Strong ability to read technical schematics, layout drawings, and BOQs. Proficient in

AutoCAD, Bluebeam

, and/or specialized estimation software. Knowledge of major ELV equipment brands, vendor offerings, and local market pricing.

Soft Skills:

Excellent

analytical thinking

, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal

communication skills

to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Capable of handling multiple tenders with strict submission deadlines.
