Position Overview

We are looking for a highly meticulous and experienced

Estimation Engineer

specializing in

Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Systems

, with a particular focus on automation technologies such as

BMS (Building Management Systems)

,

CCTV

,

Access Control

,

Lighting Control

, and other integrated solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to prepare accurate, competitive, and comprehensive project estimates based on technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation:

Prepare detailed, itemized cost estimates for ELV systems, including security, communication, and automation components.

Document Analysis:

Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to develop accurate estimates.

Cross-functional Coordination:

Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure complete and precise information gathering.

Value Engineering:

Provide technical recommendations and value engineering options to optimize project designs and reduce overall costs.

Vendor Management:

Evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors for technical accuracy, compliance, and cost competitiveness.

Tender Support:

Assist with the preparation of tender submissions and respond to clarification requests during pre- and post-tender stages.

Site Visits:

Attend site inspections, pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions as required.

Database Management:

Update and maintain pricing libraries, vendor databases, and estimation templates to ensure up-to-date and efficient estimation processes.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

3-5 years of proven experience in ELV estimation, with strong exposure to automation systems (BMS, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Lighting Control, Structured Cabling, etc.).

Technical Skills:

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Hands-on experience with estimation tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or dedicated ELV estimation software.

Market Knowledge:

Well-versed with market trends, vendor offerings, and product specifications in the ELV domain.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.

Professional Attributes:

Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously.
