- Estimation Engineer for Electrical & Field Instruments

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled

Estimation Engineer

with 3-5 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) systems, specifically in the

Oil & Gas, Water, Steel, and Paper industries

. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive techno-commercial proposals for a wide range of E&I trading requirements, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industrial standards.

The Proposal Engineer shall assist the Manager in commercial Discussions with Clients.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and review RFQs, tender documents, and specifications from clients in

Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, Steel Plants, and Paper Mills

. Prepare and submit compliant and cost-effective

techno-commercial proposals

for E&I materials and systems. Identify and source materials such as: Power & control cables, cable trays, junction boxes Field instruments (pressure, flow, level, temperature) LV & MV switchgears, MCCs, PLCs, DCS components Lighting, earthing, and explosion-proof equipment Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal procurement teams for technical submittals, pricing, and delivery schedules. Review technical compliance with

IEC, NEC, ATEX, NEMA, and industry-specific standards

. Prepare costing sheets, price breakdowns, and margin analysis to support pricing strategies. Coordinate with sales, project, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and timely submission of proposals. Attend pre-bid meetings, technical clarifications, and client interactions as required. Maintain proposal tracking sheets, tender logs, and documentation for internal reporting. Soliciting quotes from vendors and subcontractors for various projects Preparation of detailed cost estimates Preparation of bid documents and submittals. Review comments and clarifications from clients Liaise with all concerned departments and prepare a comprehensive technical submission. Generate RFQ to as many vendors as possible with good track record. Review all the vendor quotes in details Discuss with vendors to achieve optimal solutions.

Qualification, Skills & Experience

:

A bachelor's degree preferably in Electrical and Instrument Engineering discipline Extensive Estimation experiment with at least 3-5 years. Sound technical background in trading oil industry and water industry experience is a major advantage. Strong communication and writing skills. Good knowledge about Electrical & instruments components such related to the

Control system panel, LV switchgear panel and field Instrument

. Female candidate with sponsored visa is preferable Driving license is added advantage

Capabilities:

Safety and Quality conscious with a temperament to listen to suggestions and improve. Shall be able to communicate in good English language both verbal and written with confidence. Shall have decent email etiquette. Shall have the capability of determining, judging causes for failures- Determine Root Cause. Should be able to adapt to new methods by Open Thinking and Thinking out-of-the Box. Shall have good Interpersonal and Team Building Skills and shall demonstrate Commitment to Company and its goals.
