Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer to join our civil construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting tender submissions for infrastructure, building, and civil works. This role is critical to ensuring competitive pricing and profitability across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare detailed cost estimates Conduct quantity take-offs using AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and tender documentation Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to align estimates with execution plans Review and update cost databases and historical pricing records Participate in value engineering and cost optimization exercises Support post-tender negotiations and contract finalization Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations in materials and labor
Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in estimation within a civil construction company Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and market rates Proficiency in estimation tools (e.g., Candy, CostX, Excel) and AutoCAD Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Excellent analytical and numerical skills Strong communication and coordination abilities Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines Familiarity with local tendering procedures and regulatory requirements
