Job Purpose

The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, technical evaluations, and proposals for tenders and projects in the oil & gas, marine, and industrial sectors. The role requires strong technical knowledge in mechanical/electrical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to provide competitive and compliant offers.

Key Responsibilities

Review RFQs, tender documents, project specifications, and technical requirements. Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and techno-commercial proposals. Identify suitable vendors, request quotations, and evaluate supplier offers technically & commercially. Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure accurate pricing and compliance with requirements. Prepare bid clarifications, compliance statements, and deviation lists where necessary. Ensure all estimates are aligned with client specifications, industry standards, and company guidelines. Maintain updated costing database, vendor contacts, and reference prices. Support the sales team during technical and commercial negotiations. Track submitted quotations and follow up on bid status with sales. Assist in project handover to execution teams after award.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical Engineering

or

Electrical Engineering

(mandatory).

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in estimation, proposals, or project engineering (preferably in instrumentation, valves, piping, fittings, gauges, cables, or related industrial products). Strong knowledge of interpreting technical drawings, BOQs, and project specifications. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Good communication and coordination skills for dealing with vendors and internal teams.
