The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for instrumentation and fluid/flow control projects.
This role involves analysing project specifications, assessing material and labour costs, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams to develop competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimate Preparation:
Analyse project specifications, drawings, and requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for instrumentation and fluid/flow control solutions.
Identify and quantify all materials, labour, and equipment needed for the project.
2. Technical Evaluation:
Assess the technical requirements and ensure compatibility with proposed solutions.
Liaise with suppliers for pricing and lead times on components and systems.
3. Bid Development:
Develop comprehensive bids and proposals.
Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure estimates meet client requirements and project timelines.
4. Cost Analysis:
Perform cost analysis and risk assessments.
Review and refine estimates based on project feedback and historical data.
5. Client Interaction:
Present and explain estimates to clients.
Address any client inquiries and provide technical support during the bidding process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, Mechanical)
3+ years of experience in estimation within the instrumentation or fluid industry.
Strong understanding of instrumentation and fluid systems and components.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
