Job Description

The Estimation and Procurement Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimations and managing procurement activities for HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled in evaluating project drawings, BOQs, and technical requirements, while negotiating effectively with suppliers to ensure quality, budget, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:



Study and review HVAC project drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Prepare accurate cost estimates and material take-offs for tenders and ongoing projects. Float RFQs and RFPs to suppliers and contractors, ensuring timely responses. Evaluate and compare quotations for compliance with technical and commercial requirements. Prepare technical and commercial comparisons and support proposal submissions. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors. Maintain a database of approved vendors and updated material prices. Coordinate with the engineering and site teams to align procurement with project timelines. Prepare and issue LPOs and procurement schedules in coordination with management. Identify long lead items and communicate risk to the project team. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project specifications.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3-5 years of experience in HVAC estimation and procurement within the UAE. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, materials, and market pricing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and estimation tools like PlanSwift. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Good written and verbal communication in English.
