We are looking to recruit an experienced Equipment Superintendent to join our Land Site Characterisation team based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and availability of equipment for operational use by coordinating the maintenance, repair, testing and calibration of equipment for operational use, providing technical leadership in the workplace, solving complex problems, ensuring operations are aligned with the company and/or manufacturers standards and procedures, and carrying out staff development, performance appraisal and training requirement duties. You will supervise all maintenance/workshop activities and resources for one or more teams.
Key Responsibilities:

• Hands on management of a small team participating in the repair and maintenance of specialist drilling equipment and machinery.
• Ensure operations are aligned with company and/or manufacturers standards and procedures.
• Carry out staff development, performance appraisal and training requirement duties.
• Allocation and prioritization of company resources to meet project requirements and mobilization deadlines.
• Offer technical advice to the Drilling Supervisor and Rig Mechanics to facilitate performance of their duties.
• Supervision of base and site personnel when assigned to maintenance duties.
• Liaison with the Sr. Ops Manager & Drilling Manager to assist with technical planning and resourcing of projects
• Oversee spare parts and consumable levels to support operations.
• Upload and maintain all related equipment and machineries equipment on Fugro portals
• Prepare and approve all related equipment and machineries spare parts and critical items
• Report equipment stock level and improve utilization of Fugro equipment

What Skills & Experience Will You Have?

• Bachelor's degree or vocational equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Minimum of 5 years supervision of equipment maintenance
• In depth knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems combined with a good working knowledge.
• Overall knowledge and understanding of the drilling systems and equipment operated by Fugro would be an advantage.
