Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Equipment Engineer

to oversee the selection, installation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical equipment used in oil and gas operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in rotating and static equipment, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely within project and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support the engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning (EPIC) of equipment for oil and gas facilities. Review and evaluate technical specifications, datasheets, and vendor documents related to mechanical equipment. Ensure all equipment complies with relevant industry codes, standards (API, ASME), and client specifications. Perform equipment sizing, selection, and layout for rotating (pumps, compressors) and static (vessels, heat exchangers) equipment. Coordinate with project, procurement, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth integration of equipment. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and provide technical support for repairs and modifications. Develop preventive maintenance plans and assist in reliability improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to HSE standards and participate in risk assessments and safety reviews.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Oil and Gas industry, ideally in upstream or EPC environments. Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment. Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, and ANSI. Experience in preparing technical documentation, reports, and engineering deliverables. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
