EPC Rotating Equipment Engineer

**Job summary**

The Rotating Equipment Engineer is the expert and responsible for engineering, selection, vendors' follow up and support Operations in all related to rotating equipment. Keeps abreast of Industry Codes and Guidelines related to rotating equipment. Meets or exceed project expectations in a timely manner within the budget limits.

+ Review and understand client specifications during proposal phase. Raise clarifications and deviations not inline with Company standards

+ Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in sizing and selecting rotating / packaged equipment such as pumps, compressors, instrument air packages, nitrogen generation packages, chemical injection packages, diesel generators, etc.

+ Create datasheets, technical specification, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations for rotating and packaged equipment.

+ Review, comment and approve or reject engineering documents from vendors. Assist to FAT and site installation of rotating equipment.

+ Lead technical discussions with vendors of rotating equipment, during proposal and project phases.

+ Follow up on technical scope of work of vendors & support process engineers in selecting type of rotating equipment. Perform calculations on power requirements of motors, engines and compressors.

+ Use computer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering calculations.

+ Lead and assist junior engineers when developing engineering deliverables.

+ Provide and receive inputs to other disciplines during project execution.

+ Participate in engineering meetings.

+ Provide engineering hours estimate during proposals for its discipline. Responsible for tracking engineering hours for its discipline during project execution.

+ Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry codes and Client specification requirements.

+ Perform on-site start-up and / or trouble shooting of rotating and packaged equipment.

+ Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline in accordance to applicable codes and standards.

+ Provide support to processing facilities as required by Operations on engineering/technical matters.

+ Ability and willingness to travel, as required to fulfill project and business needs.

+ Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment

**Qualifications and Experience:**

+ Years of experience required: 10+ years of relevant experience.

+ Prior work experience in Production Facility Engineering, Management of Construction suppliers, Site Engineering support for Pre-commissioning, Commissioning activities

+ Expertise: Facilities Engineering and Construction, with strong Engineering background

+ Sound knowledge in all rotating equipment, specially large API pumps and compressors.

+ Fluency in English
