Job Description

Key Responsibilities

:

? Operate overhead cranes as per project and site requirements.

? Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of crane equipment, controls, and safety systems in line with Qatar Civil Defence and HSE regulations.

? Read and interpret load charts, lifting plans, and method statements.

? Safely lift, move, and position materials without exceeding crane load limits.

? Coordinate with riggers, signalmen, and supervisors using proper hand signals and communication protocols.

? Adhere to Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and international lifting safety standards.

? Report and document equipment malfunctions, incidents, or near misses to the site supervisor and HSE team.

? Ensure compliance with Ministry of Labor requirements for safe lifting operations.

? Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and mandatory HSE training sessions.

? Maintain crane logbooks, inspection records, and certifications as required by Qatar regulations.

Education/ Qualifications and Experience:

? Secondary school education or equivalent. ? Minimum 3 year's experience in EOT crane operations within construction/engineering projects.

? Strong knowledge of Qatar's HSE laws, Civil Defence standards, and QCS regulations.

? Proven experience handling mobile/tower/overhead cranes in large-scale projects.
