Job Description

Job Overview: This role will be responsible in environmental management in Jebel Ali Area.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Develop implement and maintain Environmental Management Systems in compliance to International Standards as ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Monitor compliance against documented Environmental requirements through a systematic regikme of compliance audit, performance monitoring, and front-line inspections. Establish acceptable monitoring and measurement tools, set objectives and measureable goals through acceptable statistical analysis Early identification of new and emerging environmental legislation and interpretation of its impact on the company's Business Plan Liaising with statutory and regulatory bodies of renewal of licenses, obtaining clearances, consents and authorizations Preparation and alignment of Project Environmental management Plans, objectives and systems with company/client requirements Lead/Direct investigations following incidents to identify root cause Participate in project HAZID studies, major environmental surveys such as Enviromental Performance Assessments, Occupational Health Risk Assessments and actively seek to resolve any findings from these surveys Facilitate environmental impact assessments of proposed construction projects and advice on control measures to mitigate impacts. Provide/Review environmental inputs on subcontractor proposals as required Attend HSE meetings to highlight and resolve Environmental issues Prepare Management reviews including detailed statistical objectives and key performance indicators and continual improvement programs of the project Organize Emergency response programs viz, oil and chemical spill and keep records of the latest response plans for such emergencies Identify prepare and deliver Environmental awareness training Write format reports, environmental articles for Project publications and develop/Deliver presentations Any other responsibilities as directed by the HSES Manager Provide guidance/advice to Fabrication/Project on environmental management in accordance to company, customer and legislative requirements Assist in the development of various environmental program and best practices Monitor and advise facilities for conformance to environmental activity plans Essential Qualifications and Education: Minimum 5 years of HSES work related experience HSE Degree/Diploma in Safety or Environmental Management Company Overview and Core Values: McDermott is a premier, fully-integrated provider of technology, engineering and construction solutions to the energy industry.
