Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and qualified English Teacher to join our team, specializing in IGCSE English Literature and Language instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and comprehensive IGCSE English Literature and Language lessons to students aged 11-16 Develop lesson plans aligned with Cambridge / Edexcel IGCSE curriculum requirements and assessment objectives Prepare students for both Literature (0486/0992) and Language (0500/0990) examinations Foster critical thinking, analytical writing, and literary appreciation skills Assess student progress through regular assignments, mock exams, and constructive feedback Create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and discussion Guide students through prescribed texts and poetry selections for literature component Develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for language component Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievement Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and academic performance

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English Literature, English Language, or related field Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent) Proven experience teaching IGCSE English or equivalent international curriculum Strong knowledge of Cambridge IGCSE English Literature and Language syllabi Excellent command of English language with outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in English or Education Cambridge examiner experience Experience with diverse student populations Familiarity with digital learning platforms and educational technology

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
