What you\'ll do

You\'ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

• You will be responsible to assists in managing entire property, preventative maintenance, property operation & energy costs. Supervise maintenance team as well as contractors within the property to ensure work is carried out to specific standards. Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action. Assist in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems. Ensures that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority. Delegate, tracks and follows up on status of work assigned to staff and contractors to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• You\'ll also maintain engineering area, clean and in an orderly manner. Keep close coordination with other engineering staff for smooth operation. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager.

• You will comply with the departmental/corporate SOP & LSOP. Will ensure implementation of Dorchester Collection Policies, Standards and Procedures in relation to Engineering fairly and consistently. Will be aware of all existing departmental job safety analysis and strive to work in an accident-free manner and to create a safe working environment for self and for others.

The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of an Engineering Supervisor but we\'ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our hotel.

What you\'ll bring

• You\'ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team. High school diploma or similar qualification. Technical Trade Course Certificate in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanics/HVAC-R or related. Technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/Mechanical/plumbing.
• At least 4 years\' progressive experience in facility management with minimum 2 years in international 5-star Hotel luxury brand. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a Supervisor Engineer or Shift Engineer role. Pre-Opening experience is preferred.
• You have a talent for Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on various MEP systems and equipment. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures such as walkways, parking lots, and guest facilities. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the protection of people, data and property. Experience in repairing HVAC-R related equipment or systems using the needed tools. Able to read Building, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical drawings. Ability to meet deadlines and to prioritize and organize work assignments. Able to work alone with no supervision.
• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
• English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
