We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Executive to oversee the engineering operations at our hotel. The Engineering Executive will be responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of the hotel\'s physical infrastructure, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of the hotel\'s physical infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing functionality and reliability of equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate and prioritize work orders, assigning tasks to the engineering team and ensuring timely completion.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel\'s facilities, identifying and addressing maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for the engineering department.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external contractors and vendors, coordinating outsourced maintenance and repair services as needed.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and monitor utility consumption to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Train and develop the engineering team, providing guidance on technical matters and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Housekeeping, to address guest-related maintenance requests and ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Prepare and manage the engineering department\'s budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Desired Skill & Expertise
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in engineering and maintenance management, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and facility management systems.
  • Knowledge of energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and be on-call as needed.
