What you will be doing:
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work for all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks promptly.
- Maintain records of maintenance work and track equipment servicing schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to procure materials, parts, and services required for maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in managing the engineering department\'s budget, including tracking expenses and cost control measures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and warranties.
- Prepare reports on maintenance and engineering activities for management review.
- Schedule and assign tasks to engineering staff, contractors, and technicians as needed.
- Address guest complaints related to maintenance promptly and professionally.
Your experience and skills include:
- High school diploma or equivalent (a degree or certification in hotel management or engineering is a plus).
- Proven experience in hotel maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, codes, and standards in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer software and maintenance management systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
