About the role Our team is growing in Oman and we are looking to hire Pipeline Engineers to support Oil and Gas projects.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below: Review Client's technical documentation and requirements. Participate in main design workshops, e.g. ALARP, Lesson learned, Design review, HAZOP, IPF, constructability review, SIMOPS/MOPO, etc. and understand pipeline technical contribution. Pipeline wall thickness calculation, rail/road crossing calculation, reinforcement calculation and Hot Tap Calculation for all metallic pipelines Technical understanding of Hot-tap feasibility study and split tee design Design requirements for GRE pipelines, e.g. road/wadi crossings, route constraints, flange joint with metallic side, etc. and can review GRE design package. Good technical understanding of pipeline components, i.e. line pipe, Barred Tee, pig trap, flanges, valves, isolation joint, heat shrink sleeve, fittings (weldolets, Tees, Headers, elbow, etc.), pig signaller in terms of types, manufacturing process, design standards, etc. Preparing and presenting technical materials such as cost estimates, pipeline layouts, and flow simulations. Calculating project requirements such as materials, budget, and time. Creating and developing digital designs such as pipeline maps, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams. Overseeing the construction and installation process of pipeline infrastructure and systems. Managing the project workflow and budget. Performing quality control assessments and ensuring that the pipelines comply with all technical and safety regulations. Performing maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to pipelines, as needed. Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in design software, technical standards, and construction techniques.

Candidate Specification

Engineering Degree in Mechanical, and experience in pipeline design and construction Understanding of welding processes, which used in pipeline construction for Different materials, i.e. CS, SS, DSS, cladded, CRA, etc. and different processes in same line. Ability to ensure HDPE jointing in full compliance to relevant standards/method statements and has capability to drive troubleshooting jointing issues Understanding in how to review pipeline stress analysis report, i.e. verify inputs/program setting and output results. And recommend solutions for unsafe designs. Ensure an adequate standard of technical documentation and contribute in updating Company standards.
