About the role Our team is growing in Oman and we are looking to hire an Instrumentation Engineer to support on Oil and Gas projects.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below: Executes the engineering & design works within budget and schedule. Co-ordinates with other disciplines & resolves the engineering issues Provides engineering inputs during all design phases including interpretation and challenge of standards. Prepares material requisitions, evaluate technical bids & reviews Vendor/ Third Party documents Participates in the Technical reviews and progress review of projects Familiar with the SHELL procedures, international standards & codes. Familiar with design specifications for field instruments, control & on-off valves, DCS/PLC systems, F&G systems, liquid & gas analysers, Gas Chromatographs, Fiscal Measurements, Condition Monitoring Systems, etc Familiar in developing calculations for SIS loops, orifice sizing, control valve sizing, thermowell wake frequency, etc. Familiar in SIF designs, DCS & PLC Functional Logic Drawings, System Configuration Drawings, Process Control Narratives, Process Safeguarding Narratives, Cause & Effects, Alarm Variable Tables. Supports in hook-up drawings, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, interface drawings, cable block diagrams, cable schedule, panel layout drawings, cable routing drawings, cable tray/duct layouts, instrument layouts, etc. Experience in preparation of Instrument Installation details, Junction Box wiring, Instrument Interconnection drawings, instrument Cable Schedule, Safety grounding layout, Instrument Loop drawings and Material calculation (MTO), datasheets/ specifications of various instruments. Hands on experience on Smart Plant Instrumentation and AVEVA

Candidate Specification

Relevant BSc. degree qualifications Extensive years of experience in similar projects Experience in Engineering and design of Large EPC projects in Oil and gas process plants. Functional Safety Certification (IEC 61511) will be an added advantage.
