Engineer, Drilling Performance

  • JOB PURPOSE:
Under general directions, deliver responsible & professional works to improve operational efficiency and overall company's performance.
  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities

Ensures credibility to all well data entered into the main database. This includes data such as footage, Drilling data, time breakdown, repair & maintenance, Non Productive time (NPT), and operational issues associated with ADNOC Drilling operations & Rigs Moves performance. Prepares summary of drilling & other reports based on above data entry by querying database to extent necessary information.

Compile analyses & provide Scorecard's operations data such as save drilling days, rig move performance, ADNOC Drilling NPT. To provide all necessary clarifications data remarks for KPIs those do not meet targets (low performance area).

Compile, analyze and produce performance benchmarking monthly reports, which included highlighting significant NPT equipment failure, NPT operations delay and negligence, NPT of Service Contractors & operating companies, operations hours & completions hours of each rig, which is linked to rig operating rate approval by client.

Provide & compile necessary operations data and write up reports for BAC and BOD meeting in quarterly, half and yearly basis.

Prepare final Technical report/recommendation and submit the same for management approval.

Analyze RTMC data from ADNOC HQ and ADNOC Group (AGOC), prepare rig efficiency and ILT/POT reports based on corporate KPIs targets and share with rigs as well as management.

Implement QA/QC metrics for real-time data and KPI criteria for performance analysis.

Generate performance reports of real-time drilling operations for the Drilling Engineers as required.

Conduct monthly performance review meetings with low performing rigs and share the concerns with management on frequent basis.

To prepare Operations Reports, Objectives, KPI's, Contract Performance and send the required actions to all the meeting attendees, etc.

Update CPMS data & ensure credibility for all operation divisions KPI data on monthly basis along with justifications for low performing KPI / Objectives and key success factors and best practices for high performing KPI / Objectives

Support for preparing budget forecast / actuals based on monthly operations summary and major maintenance plan. Participates in the preparation of the revenue budget as per approved Business Plans.

Consolidate customer satisfaction score on monthly basis based on client feedback and report to concerned teams for close out of actions in timely manner. Present customer satisfaction overview to management on quarterly basis.

Collaborate with Business Continuity Management (BCM) team to perform activities pertaining to business continuity process and capture the relevant action plan for division. Coordinate with all focal points to establish and roll out business continuity plan.

Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team to perform activities pertaining to risk management process and capture the relevant risks along with necessary action plan for division.

Collaborate with ADNOC Digitalization committee to develop Artificial intelligence (AI) & Data Science projects for optimizing drilling efficiency.

Collaborate with Procurement Division (PD) & Contract Admin to ensure compliance of procurement policy for the complete tendering process until the agreement signed by both parties.

Collaborate with Contract Admin. to complete post award contractors performance to establish contractor's suitability for future works.

Support the Contract Admin. in preparing the new contract request and uploading in system with all mandatory supporting documents and obtaining approvals as per Delegation of Authority (DOA).

Support the contract Admin in preparing the Variation Order (VO) request and uploading in system with all mandatory supporting documents and obtaining approvals as per Delegation of Authority (DOA).

Align with Procurement Division (PD) and operation Contract Admin to highlight the pending issue and to provide them with required information.

Ensures proper flagging system for all operation contract status and issue contract status reports.

AD-HOC requirement from operations and other divisions for NPT, Revenue, Performance, KPI, analysis and presentations.

Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.

Generic Accountabilities

Supervision

Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets

Provide input for preparation of the Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.

Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Implement approved Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management

Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.

Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets.

Reports

Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
  • COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal

Frequent contact within the Division up to Vice President level to advise on drilling and divisional performance.

External

Frequent contacts with the clients for alignment of drilling data and performance KPIs.
  • QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification

BSc / B. Tech Engineering.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

5 years of experience in Drilling operations / Performance planning.

Familiar with various computer software packages, particularly when preparing slide shows.

Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
