Job Description

Manage and maintenance of backup infrastructure. Setup, configure and manage backup, monitor daily backup, Scheduling backup.
Key Responsibilities:
Setup, configure and manage Backup server/client and tape libraries.
Monitor daily Backup activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues
Modify and optimize backup schedules
Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements
Troubleshoot and resolve the failed backups
Should be familiar on any restoration (File system, Database & Snapshot)
Interface with vendors for escalation of issues
Configure, monitor, and support daily backup software, such as Acronis and Azure Site Backups
Independently performs fail over and failback testing of entire VM's in a Disaster Recovery environment as required
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complications while performing testing or failovers
Monitors and maintains global backup cloud environments
Knowledge of Data backup and recovery with Acronis and Azure Cloud Backups or similar enterprise level software
Hands on experience on different types of jobs on Commvault backup
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
ITIL v4 (or v3) foundation certification
Certification from Backup and Storage vendors such as Rubrik, Dell-EMC, HP, Cohesity, Commvault, Veeam Networker. etc,
At least 8 to 10 years of Data Protection Platform relevant experience.
Working experience in Public/Private/Hybrid Multi-Cloud: AWS, Azure Native Back-Ups, GCP, Oracle and VMware
Understanding of cloud computing architecture, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS delivery models
Strong passion for the Cloud World and concepts.
Knowledge of Storage technologies such as Dell-EMC, Cohesity, HP & Pure Technologies
Experience in installing/configuring/troubleshooting Backup technologies such as Dell, Commvault & Cohesity Technologies
Excellent knowledge on SAN / NAS / FC Switches / Backup Appliances /Tape Libraries
Knowledge of migration tools, snapshots and SAN protocols such as CIFS, NFS, Iscsi and fiber channel
Knowledge of Data Migration, Replication, Switch Zoning & Fabric merging
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Knowledge of networking principles, Hypervisors, Linux, and Windows operating environments
Knowledge of security hardening and system performance tuning
