We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Toolman to support the day-to-day operations of our engine maintenance shop. The ideal candidate will ensure that all tools and equipment are properly controlled, maintained, and accounted for in compliance with aviation safety standards, while efficiently supporting our technicians in their workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage tool control procedures, including issuing, returning, and tracking tools.
Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure tool accountability at all times.
Monitor and maintain tool inventories and storage systems to ensure operational readiness.
Support engine shop technicians by providing the correct tools and equipment in a timely manner.
Coordinate with planning, quality, and stores teams as needed to maintain smooth shop operations.
Adhere to aviation regulatory requirements related to tool control and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention.
Keep tooling records updated and support audits and inspections when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Prior experience in tool control or maintenance support, preferably in an aviation or engine maintenance environment.
Preferred Attributes:
Prior Experience with tool calibration and inventory management software.
Familiarity with aviation maintenance procedures.
Proactive, reliable, and able to anticipate the needs of the workshop.
Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements regarding tool control and FOD prevention.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Basic understanding of engine shop operations and workflow.
Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, planners, and quality teams.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
