As a Production Control Engineer in Engine Facility you will be responsible for developing, evolving and conducting the off- wing engine maintenance and rework activities within engine shop by proactively work-scoping in terms of man/material/tool/space. Responsible to ensure on time transaction of work packages for the timely release of all QTR/lease spare engine/APU to cater scheduled engine/ APU replacements and support all AOG recovery in liaison with other involved departments.
Operational Accountabilities:
Pro-actively monitor the engine/APU receipt plans into the engine shop to ensure a reliable turnaround time for the planned work scope and timely release to service for all scheduled engine/APU changes.
Review QTR hot spare engine/APU status and ensure minimum one spare is ready for installation to support QTR operation and in communication with DEPP.
Prioritize all the work scopes and schedule it in consultation with DE-PP, Supply chain team, Tool Store, Hangar Team, and ES Production team.
Regular meetings/follow-up with all inter-department focal personnel to ensure the desired spare level is maintained for engines/APU's to support QTR operation.
Perform engine/APU receipt inspections, dispatch inspection, engine transportation, fan split/mate, LRU build-up, module removal / installations and certification in a timely manner.
Monitoring receipt of serviceable/unserviceable engines/APU's in to the Engine Shop to ensure timely return to service or dispatch to vendor shop and reporting any impending issues to the Supervisor/Manager that can have an impact on the timely release/dispatch of engine/APU (including split components/hardware).
Ensure regular coordination with Engine Shop maintenance / production team / DEPP / FP / BMPCC / HMPCC / MOCC in relation to the maintenance activity as per shop capability to carry out the intended maintenance within the required time.
To use all available resources at the disposal to ascertain that all maintenance including casualties on QR Aircraft engines/APU's is carried out to the highest possible Maintenance Standards and Safety in the most productive/proactive and cost-effective manner.
Ensure required manpower are available to carry out the tasks as scheduled and monitor the timely completion of the tasks including borescope inspections.
Ensure to make regular follow-up with SC team and AOG desk for all the parts shortages and report any work stoppage to Supervisor/Manager.
Perform AOG Team leader role in base for any engine AOG requirement in Doha or out station with close liaison with MOCC/Tool store/Supply Chain/Dispatch Team/AOG Desk.
Produce monthly production status report of the Engine shop and submit to Supervisor/Manager on time.
Generate quarterly/annually forecasted reports of Engine Shop in terms of capacity, capability, and, manpower/man hour planning for development review/evaluation.
If assigned as BSI Production Control Engineer: Ascertain effective performance of tasks by checking engine maintenance tasks including borescope inspection are accomplished with laid down policies and procedures of given time frame.
Provide satisfactory service to internal and external customers by planning work required for a team of technicians/mechanics as per every issued work order/work scope.
Meet scheduled requirements by maintaining component serviceability standards & implement solutions to engine technical problems.
Responsible to ensure maintenance of various types of engines & configurations as per approved aircraft maintenance procedure manuals.
Maintaining engines as RFI (ready for installation) to meet the intended target.
Ensure all scheduled /unscheduled maintenance requirements are accomplished with all required approved supporting documents and all works are recorded in accordance with the approved company procedures.
Ensure shift hand over is in place and complying to update handover database on every shift work pattern as stipulated in TPM.
Maintaining communication effectively with the group to keep the chain of information is up to date.
Meet and greet shift-in-charge for work load distribution to better understanding the shift total work force requirement.
Compliance of all technical ethics for better understanding of multinational shift group.
Maintaining his Aircraft/ release to service authorization up date as per TPM and QCAA.
Responsible to ensure third party working assessment is processed prior scheduling any external contracted work on QTR Engine/APUs.
Responsible to compile and submit monthly warranty / insurance claim to cost control / insurance sections for engine works handled by QTR shop.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
