'Engine Room Operator - Industrial' urgently required for Oman

Qualification: - Secondary school certificate with science or Vocational training certificate Experience: - 5 Years of Experience in operating industrial diesel engine. Salary: 170 OMR + two years ticket + accommodation + free insurance and medicalQualification & Experience.

Job Purpose

Engine Room Operator should have a strong knowledge of type of Engine on which he is working, method of starting /stopping the Engine, its basic parts etc. He should thoroughly perform all the necessary steps before starting / stopping an engine.

1. To start up / stop an Engine, when required, keeping in view all the instructions & precautions mentioned in the S.O.Ps, developed for each type of engine. 2. To be able to perform the daily routine inspections/checks for each Engine indicating the running condition of an engine, hence determining if any corrective maintenance is required for a machine before any emergency occurs. 3. To be able enough to carry to routine operations i.e. lub oil changing, filter changing, filling Diesel day tanks & daily oil / coolant top ups. 4. To maintain a log book for each engine indicating a record of routine services carried out & corrective maintenance carried out if any. 5. To develop and display all necessary tags & cautions indicating if an Engine is out of service. 6. To correspond, in case of an emergency, in an effective manners with company maintenance engineers & other higher authorities. 7. To keep general cleanliness of power station, engine room & to update all the necessary records. 8. To maintain the engine and surroundings clean at all times and update records as and when any incident occurs. 9. To operate Fire Extinguishers as and when required. 10. To communicate with the immediate superior in an effective manner during an emergency without getting panic.
