OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION
  • The Credit Execution Team (\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xcb\x9cCET\') is an important team providing vital support to the front office by way of administrative functions including KYC, documentation and facility agreements.
  • CET acts as the link between client, RM and Compliance to close out all KYC issues for DIFC branch Dubai.
  • Ensures that E signatures are executed in a timely manner to enable transactions to be booked.
  • Other functions include but not limited to operational activities, GCMS, review of NDA\'s, various returns such as for IBOR, financial covenant monitoring, etc.
  • CET is also acting as a key point of contact on a number of projects such as GRO (new operating manual for KYC), IBOR monitoring and client consents.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To act as Analyst for Credit Execution Team (\'CET\') supporting such activity for the Corporate Coverage team within the Corporate Banking, MENA department. Essential Functions*:
  • Carry out or assist members of the team in fulfilling credit and front-office operational administration for GCIB and JCIB clients.
  • Manage CIFs and customer information.
  • Conduct or assist in administrative tasks which are necessary to process/maintain transactions, including documentation, classifications and KYC. Ensure where possible that KYC overdues are kept to a minimum avoiding particularly overdue +90 days within portfolio.
  • Provide administrative support with regards to the credit process of the department.
  • Including aspects of borrower ratings, business screenings and some legal issues that relate to portfolio.
  • Access the Bank\'s credit systems to update and download information for transaction and credit control purposes.
  • Data input into shared online system or Microsoft Excel sheet for tracking and planning business.
  • Gather/compile information in the Corporate Banking department to be able to create (or support creating) reports for other departments and the Bank\'s Head Quarters.
  • Control due-dates for credit and administrative matters and monitor completion.
  • Be responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance of files and documents. No ISSP incidents.
  • Assist with ad-hoc administrative and operational duties as they arise to enable the department to work efficiently, including assisting with preparation of presentations, strategy and profit reports. Where workflow levels permit ensure that appropriate support is given to other members of CET.
  • Mainly cover GSB and JCIB portfolios but will also be expected to provide support to \'sub team\' which covers other GCIB customers (Corporate, FIs and SWF) , as required.
  • Creation of client records onto relevant systems
  • Management of the signing process of documents (NDA, FA etc)
  • Liaison with London re Project Finance deals booked in London
  • Support other MUFG offices in collecting KYC information for Middle East Clients as part of the alignment project
  • Handle KYC Quality Check end to end process if assigned, deal with KYC Quality check prior to passing the cases to compliance, verify the end-to-end process, make sure cases have been thoroughly examined, and effectively mitigate the risks of Money Laundering, Bribery and Corruption, reputational and any other associate risks.
  • Handle tasks related to the RMAs\' KYCs.
  • Handle E-signature
Data Protection: Acting as the data protection business process owner for Credit Execution Team with responsibility for the following:
  • Complying with the transparency requirements (as detailed in the Data Protection Policy);
  • Ensuring there are lawful grounds for processing personal data;
  • Ensuring personal data are used and stored in accordance with the purposes communicated to individuals;
  • Ensuring data being collected are relevant and not excessive for the purpose for which the personal data were collected;
  • Taking reasonable steps where appropriate to ensure data is kept accurate and up-to-date;
  • Ensuring, in consultation with Systems as necessary, that personal data are adequately protected against accidental or unlawful processing and against destruction, accidental loss or damage;
  • Undertake privacy impact assessments when there are significant changes to the business process;
  • Ensuring personal data is not transferred to locations not deemed to have adequate protections where transfer restrictions apply; and ensuring that personal data are not retained for longer than necessary
WORK EXPERIENCE Essential:
  • Previous experience of dealing directly with corporate clients, preferably within the finance industry
  • 3-5 years of operations/middle-office experience within the finance industry
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in credit assessment
SKILLS Essential:
  • English language skills, written and verbal (fluent)
  • Good level of business acumen and analytical skills
  • A good general understanding of banking, accounting and corporate financing
  • Excellent attention to detail, quality of work and time management
