As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a crucial role in providing urgent medical care to patients in various settings, such as urgent care facilities, Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. Your quick thinking and expertise will be essential in assessing patients' conditions and administering necessary medical assistance.
Duties
Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide efficient pre-hospital care
Perform patient assessments to determine the nature of illness or injury
Utilize medical equipment such as Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patient care
Transport patients safely to medical facilities for further treatment
Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Employ aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
Demonstrate proficiency in heavy lifting when transferring patients
Experience
Required:
Profound knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Experience working in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or trauma centers
