The Registered Nurse - Emergency Medicine provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced emergency environment. The role involves rapid assessment, clinical intervention, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety while managing acute and critical cases.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritization of patients based on clinical urgency.
Provide direct nursing care to emergency patients, including trauma, medical, and surgical emergencies.
Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and patient responses to treatment continuously.
Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
Assist physicians during emergency procedures, resuscitations, and advanced life support activities.
Operate and monitor emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, and infusion pumps.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records and electronic systems.
Ensure infection control, patient safety, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during critical situations.
Participate in emergency drills, continuous education, quality improvement activities, and mentoring of junior staff.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Valid Registered Nurse License (DHA or eligibility to obtain DHA license).
Current BLS and ACLS certification (Mandatory).
PALS and Trauma certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum
5 years of experience
as a Registered Nurse in a
busy Emergency Department in ED hospital
.
Proven experience handling high-acuity patients, trauma cases, and critical emergencies.
Strong clinical decision-making and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
