: Engineering Consultant / Architecture and Planning Firm
Job Summary:
Our client, a leading Engineering Consultant and Architecture & Planning firm in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a qualified ELV Inspector to join their team. The candidate will be based on-site and will be responsible for inspecting, verifying, and ensuring the quality and compliance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems installed in building projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with engineering consultants in the UAE construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
? Conduct thorough on-site inspections of ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, public address, structured cabling, and other related low voltage systems.
? Review and verify that installations conform to approved engineering consultant drawings, project specifications, and industry standards.
? Collaborate and coordinate with engineering consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
? Perform functional testing and commissioning checks to confirm ELV system performance and reliability.
? Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, highlight any discrepancies or non-compliance issues, and follow up to ensure resolution.
? Ensure all ELV installations comply with local Abu Dhabi regulations, civil defense requirements, and relevant international standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, IEC).
? Attend site meetings to provide expert technical advice on ELV matters.
? Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues encountered during installation and commissioning phases.
Qualifications & Experience:
? Must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field)
? Minimum 5-8 years of relevant ELV inspection experience on building projects, preferably in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
? Experience working directly with engineering consultants in building construction projects.
? Strong knowledge of ELV systems: CCTV, access control, fire alarms, PA systems, structured cabling, etc.
? Familiarity with Abu Dhabi local regulations/UAE and standards for ELV installations.
? Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
? Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively on-site and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED14,000.00 per month
