Have strong knowledge of ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, public address systems, fire alarms, intrusion detection, BMS, structured cabling, etc.
Understand project requirements and translate them into suitable ELV solutions.
Project Coordination (Optional for some roles):
Coordinate with design, engineering, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Assist in site surveys, system configurations, and preparing technical documentation.
Product Knowledge:
Stay up to date with the latest ELV technologies, standards, and suppliers.
Provide clients with technical recommendations that suit their needs and budget.
Business Development Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Sales:
Identify and target potential clients in sectors like real estate, construction, hospitality, retail, and government.
Generate leads through cold calls, networking, exhibitions, referrals, and digital platforms.
Client Engagement:
Understand client needs, propose ELV solutions, and deliver customized presentations.
Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and technical bids.
Tendering & Proposal Management:
Respond to RFQs/RFPs and manage tender submissions with all supporting documents.
Work closely with estimators and engineering teams to provide accurate costings and technical content.
Sales Negotiation & Closing:
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract details with clients and close deals.
Ensure smooth handover of projects to operations teams after deal closure.
Market Research & Strategy:
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to refine the sales approach.
Recommend product additions or service improvements based on client feedback and industry trends.
CRM & Reporting:
Maintain a sales pipeline using CRM tools and prepare weekly/monthly sales reports.
Report on performance metrics, forecasts, and client development activities.
