ELV Engineer with Genetec Certification

Key Responsibilities

Installation of Application, Solutions, Hardware devices and configuration of the solution as per the requirement and company instructions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software, Application, Hardware Devices Analyze and study complex systems requirements Attend Necessary company provided training and also to do personal training to upgrade the technical skills to execute daily activities Prepare design documentation, technical document, Test Cases, User Manual, Handover documents, Configuration Documents Technology Training and Certification as per company need To be Part of Inspection, QA /QC Team To be actively involved in MOI, Client, Consultant, Contractor, Sub Contractor Inspection, Testing and Commissioning of Complete solutions Write and maintain technical documentation to describe testing, changes, and corrections Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the organization Support customer-witnessed testing, Training and Project Handover

Configure and program ELV systems such as:

CCTV (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Axis, Hikvision, Dahua, Avigilon) Access Control Systems (e.g., HID, Suprema, ZKteco, Lenel, Honeywell, Bosch) Time & Attendance Public Address Structured Cabling Systems SMATV / IPTV Upload/download system configurations, firmware, and software updates. Perform system integration and inter-device communication setup. Collaborate with design engineers to configure the systems. Work with vendors/OEMs to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues. Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning of ELV systems. Create and maintain system documentation including configuration files, IP schemas, and user manuals. Provide technical support and training to end users. Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Good knowledge in MOI-SSD standards. Attend Customer Calls on Support activities To prepare, Daily reports, Weekly reports and Monthly reports To communicate with client and provide updates on Daily activity Will be required to be on Field for support and Go live, perform Maintenance for Application, Server & other Hardware's Will require to check and troubleshoot necessary hardware cables, inside the conduit, containment, above the ceiling etc.

Server & Storage Management:

Install, configure, and manage

Windows/Linux-based servers

for: VMS (Video Management Systems) Access Control applications Set up and manage

virtualized environments

(VMware, Hyper-V) for hosting ELV platforms. Database knowledge Design and maintain

storage systems

for video and event recording:

NAS/SAN systems

(e.g., QNAP, Synology, Dell EMC, HPE) RAID configuration, redundancy, and failover setups

Networking & Integration:

Implement, and troubleshoot

ELV system networks

, including:

LAN/WAN architecture

for video surveillance, access control, etc.

Switching, routing, VLANs

, and

QoS

for video streaming and bandwidth prioritization. IP schema planning and static/dynamic addressing for devices across ELV systems. Firewall rules, NAT, and port forwarding for remote access and integration.

PoE switching

design and load balancing. Collaborate with IT and network security teams to align ELV systems with cybersecurity policies and ensure data integrity. Set up and manage

network video recorders (NVRs), servers, storage arrays (NAS/SAN), and cloud-based monitoring

solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor Of Computer Science / IT / Electronics Engineering Certification in Genetec (Active or Expired) Server, Storage, Network Administration Video Management Certificates
