Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced

ELV Designer

with a

minimum of 8 years' professional experience in the UAE

, including

at least 5 years in an engineering consultancy

environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems and a solid track record of delivering design solutions for complex, large-scale projects in the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed design drawings, layouts, schematics, and specifications for ELV systems including: CCTV Access Control Fire Alarm Public Address System Structured Cabling (Voice/Data) SMATV/IPTV Intercom Systems BMS & Lighting Control Interfaces Ensure all designs comply with UAE local authority standards and international codes (Dubai Civil Defence, DEWA, SIRA, etc.). Prepare design documentation, technical specifications, and BOQs for tender and construction. Coordinate ELV designs with other disciplines (Architectural, MEP, Structural) to ensure seamless integration. Attend design meetings and workshops with clients, consultants, and contractors. Provide technical support during tender evaluations and construction phases including submittal reviews and site inspections. Assist in value engineering exercises and system optimization.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of UAE experience

, with

at least 5 years in a design consultancy

firm working on MEP/ELV systems. Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements (Civil Defence, SIRA, DEWA, ADM, etc.). Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and other ELV design tools. Solid understanding of international standards (NFPA, BS, IEC, ISO). Strong technical report writing, communication, and coordination skills. Proven experience in managing multiple ELV packages on large-scale projects (high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, residential, or healthcare).

Preferred Certifications (not mandatory):

RCDD (BICSI) Certified Fire Alarm Designer (NFPA) LEED knowledge or certification PMP or equivalent project coordination experience
