The ELV & CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including CCTV, access control, intercom, structured cabling, and other security or communication systems. The technician ensures all systems are installed to industry standards, function efficiently, and meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain
CCTV, access control, audio/video intercoms, and other ELV systems
.
Perform
troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
for hardware, cabling, and network-related issues.
Conduct
testing, commissioning, and handover
of ELV systems.
Read and interpret
technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
.
Carry out
cabling, termination, and labeling
for structured and coaxial cabling systems.
Ensure all installations comply with
safety standards and company procedures
.
Provide
preventive and corrective maintenance
of ELV systems.
Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and clients for smooth project execution.
Maintain
service records, reports, and documentation
of work completed.
Stay updated on
new ELV technologies and security system trends
.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or ITI in
Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering
(or related field).
Minimum
2-5 years of experience
in ELV/CCTV installation and maintenance.
