JOB PURPOSE:

Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring all Electrical, ELV, and fire/life safety systems within the data center is available at maximum efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment\'s, daily corrective work, and emergency response to Alarms/Faults. The Technician serves as an expert technical resource, reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for performing routine inspection & repair of electrical components like ACB, UPS, breaker, capacitor bank, ATS, etc.
• Daily meter reading and logging of incoming lines and outgoing feeders.
• Daily log reports for the 24-hour operation.
• Preparation of periodical reports and perform periodic preventive maintenance as per schedule.
• Ensure that all operations and maintenance activities are properly recorded & documented.
• Perform regular housekeeping of LV room, generator room and SMDB room.
• Executing work order issued by the superiors with definite standards.
• Immediate response on emergencies and breakdowns.
• Perform daily inspection checklist to ensure all portable equipment\'s are in correct order and safe to use.
• Support team on routine and maintenance of HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, and other works when and where required.
• Notify supervisor if any concerning major repairs/ changes required.
• Complies with local rules, regulations, and codes.
• Monitors performance and adjust electrical equipment to obtain maximum efficiency.
• Participate in Emergency Evacuation procedures.
• Participate in Energy saving/ cost saving proposals.
• Ensure all works are carried in line with Company Procedures and Policies, Health and Safety, Control of Hazardous materials, in line with COSHH regulations and PPE.
• Cooperate with any company efforts to improve health and safety at work.
• Support any 24/7 facility needs and activities when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electrical Diploma or Degree holder with minimum 3-5 years\' experience in Electrical maintenance in GCC.
• Fluent in English.
• Specialized certificate holder on critical equipment\'s handling will be an add on.
