The Electrical Technician will be a member of the maintenance team, responsible for carrying out routine electrical equipment (e.g., LV SWGR, Batteries, Generator) maintenance activities including motor overhauling, electrical testing, portable electrical equipment inspection, preventive / proactive / corrective maintenance activities of the Pearl GTL Complex.

The incumbent will be accountable for the maintenance of Electrical Equipment based on approved Electrical Equipment Integrity Management (EEIM) and Manage Equipment Care (MEC) Procedure to ensure the Availability and Integrity of the installed Electrical Equipment's and systems thus meeting the requirements of the company.

To assist in coaching and development of maintenance staff and Qatari nationals. To assist wherever necessary to develop/optimize Flawless Maintenance and Turnaround practices that will achieve and sustain Pearl GTL's ambitious availability targets.

To work in an environment that is challenging and encourages efficient work processes, through ownership at all levels, technical competence, continuous improvement, multidisciplinary team working with Integration leadership. Continuous improvement (CI) of complex availability and reliability and reduction of mean time to repair.

Full utilization of the resources and the computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP)

Requirements The candidate should have at least ONC/ITI/NCVT/NTC or equivalent in Electrical with at least 5 years maintenance experience in Oil & Gas Industries.

For HV/LV Motor overhauling/maintenance, candidate should be able to obtain skill and the certification for Ex motor repair as per IEC 60079-19 or having already relevant certification. Also experience in electrical component and relay testing, Portable electrical equipment inspections, uses of test and measuring instruments etc. The incumbent will need be assessed and approved as an Authorized Electrical Person (AEP) to fulfill the requirements of this position.

Preferred candidate shall have knowledge and experience with safe use of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous environment and CompEx EX01-EX04 & AEMT EX repair certifications.

Solid experience as 'Competent Electrical Person (CEP)' or equivalent with Oil & Gas Industries is must.

Exposure to turnaround and projects is preferred. Other necessary experience includes collaborative working, facilitation experience, good presentation and writing skills, appreciation of cultural diversity, and a focus on continuous learning and improvement with Learner mindset.

Fluency in both written and verbal English is required.

The incumbent is required to participate in electrical call duty roaster.
