The Job Opportunity
An ELV Technician is one who performs the maintenance and operation of ELV systems like CCTV, Access Control Systems, BMS, MATV, SACS, AV Systems, PA System and X-Ray Systems. He will be responsible for routine maintenance activities of all above system. He should be capable to trouble shoot and configure all the above systems. He should have good knowledge in CCTV/SACS storage and server level trouble shooting.
Key accountabilities
Should be able to read and understand terms and work related to ELV Systems. They should understand the blueprints, manuals and should be able to work with computerised drawings.
Responsible for IP & Analog CCTV camera installation and Preventive maintenance.
Should have the capability of understanding any type of network related issues in CCTV system and the experience of trouble shooting IP / Analog cameras.
Responsible for network cable installations, termination and for IP & Analog camera installations and commissioning.
Should understand the network drawing related to CCTV system and capable to analysis the drawings such as as-built and layout also should analysis the architecture, very fast in analyzing the complaints in CCTV and a decision maker.
Mainly troubleshoot hardware, software of Honeywell systems and m aintain current and accurate inventory of CCTV spares
What we are looking for in our candidates: Able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player. Flexibility, excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key issues. Able to work under stringent deadlines and high-pressure environment.
Specific requirements Minimum four (4) years of experience with advance knowledge in ELV systems in a commercial buildings or hospital or other facilities management building services with engineering environment. Technical and safety awareness with a clear understanding of electrical safety, permit to works, processes, procedures, use of power tools and associated test equipment.
ELV Technician should possess good knowledge in Electrical systems. Good level of the English language both written and spoken. Ideally a holder of Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and full technical understanding of Electrical systems and associated equipment and controls. Minimum holder of a Technical Diploma/ 2 year Certificate course with 6years experience
