Electrical Technician
Job Summary:
The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and components in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, conduits, panels, circuit breakers, and other electrical system parts.
- Inspect electrical components such as transformers, switchgears, and motor control centers.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure proper integration of systems.
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations for electrical work.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
