To support Serco\xe2\x80\x99s continuous growth, our team at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi are looking for an Electrical Technician who will be responsible for satisfactorily completing all allocated planned and reactive maintenance tasks, fault finding and remedial repairs on Electrical Distribution Network and its associated equipment and Asset and Building condition survey.

In the Middle East, we employ more than 5,500 people across four countries including the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iraq. Our employees remain our greatest asset.

Key accountabilities Carry out the planned and reactive maintenance on the electrical services and systems such as lighting, emergency lighting small power, switchgear, motors, pumps, control panels, instrumentation, BMS, LV power distribution networks, UPS, generators and PAT testing other associated plant and equipment\xe2\x80\x99s. Monitors rectify and/or repair electrical systems and services and maintain and update records daily. Assist in monitoring electrical consumption, collation of consumption figures, and update records as required. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged equipment\xe2\x80\x99s.

What we are looking for in our candidates: Able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player. Flexibility, excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key issues. Able to work under stringent deadlines and high pressure environment.

Specific requirements At least 5 years of experience with advance knowledge in Electrical Engineering
Technically competent with a clear technical understanding of building Electrical Services and associated equipment. Must hold relevant and recognised trade qualification in the discipline or equivalent . Ideally a diploma in Electrical Engineering. Proficient and able to demonstrate a complete understanding of Electrical systems throughout.
