Job Summary:
The Electrical Team Leader is responsible for overseeing a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This role involves coordinating team activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing electrical operations to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of electricians and technicians.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and safety awareness.

2. Electrical System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and control panels.
• Diagnose electrical faults, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards (NEC, IEC, etc.) and company policies.

3. Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce strict adherence to electrical safety protocols (lockout/tagout, PPE, arc flash safety).
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory requirements.

4. Project Coordination & Planning:

• Plan and schedule electrical maintenance activities to minimize operational disruptions.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support new installations and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, equipment history, and inventory.

5. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve electrical system reliability and efficiency.
• Recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance performance and reduce energy consumption.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Certified Electrician (Journeyman/Master Electrician license preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing settings (preferred).

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, VFDs, and control circuits.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.

Work Environment:

• Industrial/Manufacturing Plant (exposure to high-voltage equipment, noise, and machinery).
• May require shift work, on-call duty, or overtime during emergencies.
