The Sales Engineer (Electrical Trading & Supply) is responsible for generating sales, developing client relationships, and providing technical expertise on electrical products and solutions. This role combines sales acumen with technical knowledge to serve customers in sectors such as construction, infrastructure, industrial, and commercial projects. The Sales Engineer will identify new opportunities, manage existing accounts, prepare quotations, and ensure the successful supply of electrical materials in line with customer requirements. This position requires strong communication, negotiation, and market knowledge, with the ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the UAE market for electrical products and solutions.
Meet and exceed assigned sales targets through effective planning and execution.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Promote company products and services through site visits, client meetings, and technical presentations.
Technical Support & Consultation
Understand client technical requirements and recommend appropriate products (e.g., cables, switchgear, lighting, control panels, transformers).
Provide pre-sales technical assistance, including product selection, specifications, and compliance with UAE market standards.
Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
Quotation & Proposal Management
Prepare and submit accurate quotations and commercial proposals.
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with customers and suppliers.
Follow up on proposals to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
Market Analysis & Product Knowledge
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and product developments.
Maintain updated knowledge of electrical products, industry regulations, and market pricing.
Suggest new products or solutions that align with market demand.
Account Management & Reporting
Manage key accounts and develop long-term customer relationships.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management.
Maintain accurate customer data and sales records in CRM/ERP systems.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely product supply and order fulfillment.
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source special items when required.
Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely invoicing and payment collection.

Strong understanding of electrical products (e.g., cables, switchgear, lighting, control gear, industrial electrical components).
Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of UAE market, suppliers, and regulations for electrical materials.
Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/CRM systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Additional certifications in sales, marketing, or electrical systems will be an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of proven UAE experience in electrical trading and supply.
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the electrical industry.
Experience in dealing with contractors, consultants, and procurement teams.
Other Requirements:
Valid UAE driving license.
Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel within the UAE for client visits and site meetings.
