. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical components of construction and infrastructure projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for electrical systems including power, lighting, ELV, and fire alarm systems.
Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on current market rates.
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure alignment on technical and commercial aspects.
Prepare and submit technical and commercial bid proposals for tenders.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for compliance and competitiveness.
Maintain a database of rates and suppliers for future reference.
Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings when required.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical estimation, preferably within Qatar or GCC.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems used in construction projects.
Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Excel.
Familiarity with local standards, codes, and authority requirements (e.g., Kahramaa, QCDD).
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
